JOY FORMIDABLE'S NEW VIDEO OBJECTIFIES MEN (FOR A CHANGE)

Joy Formidable

Joy Formidable just announced the upcoming release of their new EP "Hitch" which drops March 25th.  And to celebrate the release, the threesome released their new video for their lead single, "The Last Thing on My Mind."

The video, turns the tables on videos depicting the 'male gaze' of objectifying women.  "The Last Thing on My Mind" portrays men in all forms of scantily-clad men in all types of everyday activity.

"The point is that when the media representation is imbalanced, if we are mostly seeing women sexualised or objectified, it’s limited, it’s damaging and, frankly, it’s boring," lead singer Ritzy Bryan said in a column she wrote for The Gaurdian.

Joy Formidable also announced a tour beginning March 28th at The Roxy in Los Angeles.
