JANA KRAMER AND AMERICAN YOUNG @ UNIVERSAL CITYWALK'S 5 TOWERS

It was a good ol' Ameican country fest last Thursday at Universal CityWalk's 5 Towers stage featuring American Young and Jana Kramer.

5 Towers is one of the largest free outdoor venue in the country which hosts today's top musical acts in the industry that, in the past, included Jason DeRulo, CeeLo Green, John Legend, Justin Beiber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ludacris and Wiz Khalifa.

On Thursday, emerging country duo American Young kicked-off the show.  Consisting of country music veterans Kristy Osmunson and Jon Stone, American Young has written songs for Rascal Flatts (Me & My Gang), Blake Shelton (Kiss My Country Ass), Kenny Chesney (Seven Days) and Lee Brice (Woman Like You.)  Now, the veteran duo looks to take center stage with their recently released EP which includes their hit single "Love Is War."

Recently, Kristy and Jon performed "Love Is War"  on ABC's "Bachelorette" last month during one-on-one dates in Belgium.

Later that night, country-rocker Jana Kramer proves that she doesn't just command the silver screen, she's also a talented singer/songwriter who also commands the stage.  Already with a successful debut album which spawned hits "Why Ya Wanna," "Whisky" and "I Won't Give Up" Kramer is set to release her follow-up record this fall.  Her new single "Love," expected to be on the new album is currently rising up Billboard's Country charts.

Her set included songs from her 2012 self-titled, debut album, showcasing her country-rock tunes which included her hits "Why Ya Wanna," "Whiskey," "I Won't Give Up," and "I Hope It Rains."  She even surprised the fans with an inspiring rendition of Alanis Morisette's "Ironic."

The actress turned singer has appeared on CW's "One Tree Hill," and "90210," HBO's "Entourage"  and "Click" starring Adam Sander to name a few.  Jana is currenlty on tour with stops in Ohio, Illinois, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New England next month.
