Watching Ivy Levan is like being transported back into a 50s blues nightclub during the big band era.  With flashes of attitude overflowing with sexiness, Ivy Levan performed at The Bootleg last Sunday as a part of Miriam Bryant's month-long residency.

Recently releasing her critically acclaimed EP Introducing the Dame, via Cherrytree Records, her music, dubbed as 'Swamp-Hop' is a mixuture of blues, pop and swing with a touch of soul and pop.  Listen to her single "Money," an infectious groove that has music tastemakers compare her to the likes of Amy Winehouse and Gwen Stefani.  Supported by a masked backing band who swayed and sung background, Levan's exciting and electrifying set was enough to guarantee another visit to The Bootleg this Sunday night.  And be sure to check her out next month where she's scheduled to perform at this years' SXSW.

Ivy Levan will perform at SXSW in March.
