MAZZY STAR ANNOUNCES FIRST ALBUM IN 17 YEARS

There's one thing on my bucket list of bands I thought I would never cross off until today when psychedelic pop  band Mazzy Star released their first song in 17 years.  1993's So Tonight That I Might See was the soundtrack many late nights in my college dorm room.

Today, they released the first track off their announced fourth studio album Seasons of You Day, their first album in 17 years. The song is called "California" and it uses simple and barely there instruments that only push forward and highlight frontwoman Hope Sandoval's dreamy, vocal echoes.  The album is set to release September 24th and here's hoping a tour is in the works.
