Today, Tegan and Sara released their new music video for "I Was a Fool."  It's their third single off their seventh studio album Heartthrob; the first two being "Closer" and "Now I'm All Messed Up."  First premiering on MuchMusic.com, the video stars Mae Whitman (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) and is directed by Shane Drake, who also directed Paramore's "Decode" and Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger" videos.

"The video is a simple look at one person’s journey through the emotions of a break up," Tegan and Sara says about the vid. "We’ve all slalomed through the mass of conflicting feelings post break up before, and with this video we hoped to capture some of the contrasts between resolution and regret that we all experience when we lose love."

Tegan and Sara are currently on tour through September. They return to Los Angeles when they perform two nights at The Greek Theater with Fun. on September 3rd and 4th.
