This year's South by Southwest will have a lot of talented groups representing Los Angeles . Earlier this month, The Mint along with High Voltage Magazine, presented a kick-off show for some of the best local acts heading SXSW. Queen Caveat, Dead Sara and Little Red Radio were some of the acts who performed before making their 1400-mile journey to Austin Texas.

Recently named as one of the top bands to watch, Queen Caveat makes their first trip to SXSW performing in at least six shows throughout Austin . One of the hardest working bands in Los Angeles , Queen Caveat just released their debut EP Emptor and now are currently working on their full length album which is expected to drop by the end of the year.

Also on the bill this night was the high energy foursome, Dead Sara who also made their way to SXSW. Dead Sara, getting ready to release their debut record this Spring, have been leaking songs, teasing us of what’s to come. After listening to the slow-burning to wailing-outcry “Weatherman” and stadium-rock anthem “We Are What You Say” we can’t wait for this album to finally be released.
