This past weekend, Best Coast returned to Los Angeles to play two sold-out shows at The Troubadour in support of their debut album, Crazy For You – a love letter to the west coast. Inspired by the girl groups of the 60's and all things palm trees, Best Coast has created a romanticized sound that enables anyone to take a little bit of sunny beaches and beautiful sunsets with them anywhere. Simple harmonies and catchy melodies. That's all it is and it's awesome!

Since releasing Crazy For You in July, Best Coast has been busy. NME just named front-woman Bethany the #4 Coolest person in music, ahead of Kanye West and Lady Gaga. They're just wrapping up their North American tour and are getting ready to tour Europe. On top of all that, later this month, Best Coast is opening up for Weezer here at the Gibson Amphitheater at Universal Studios. Also, news of Target releasing a Christmas Album, The Morning Christmas Gig featuring tracks from indie bands including Best Coast which you can listen right HERE. Want more? Well, Best Coast just announced a 27-city winter tour with her boyfriend's band, The Wavves that kicks off this January, teaming up with SPIN and MTV.

We're starting to see NME's reasoning for ranking Bethany that high up on the list. But don't bring the list up to Bethany. "Don't believe NME's list," she says Saturday night in the middle of their set. The night was, in most parts, subdued, the packed house swaying back and forth, soaking in Best Coast's super laid-back sounds. But although it was too laid back you didn't see anyone complaining. All that was missing this night was the the beach and the sun.
