Long story short: Darlings of Glendale, Go Betty Go started in 2001 with sisters Nicolette and Aixa Vilar, Betty Cisneros and Michelle Rangel playing their latin/punk-esque gigs all over Los Angeles. Nico left around 2006 and became a graphic designer and was replaced, after months of searching, with Emily Wynne-Hughes. Since Go Betty Go formed, they have played regularly at Universal City Walk, played on the Warped Tour in 2006 and opened up for Bad Religion.

Which brings me to American Idol. Anybody see the season premiere of “American Idol” Tuesday night? Well, if you did, then you probably recognized L.A.’s own Emily Hughes, lead singer of Go Betty Go.
Out of THOUSANDS who showed up in Phoenix last July to audition in front of the judges, she was one of 27 people who got the ‘golden ticket’ to come to Hollywood, singing a badd-ass rendition of Heart’s “Barracuda” and the judges LOVED her.
Anyways, here's Emily singing my favorite Go Betty Go song, "C'mon." Enjoy!!
